About International Development Arena

The International Development Arena aims to combine thought and practice. The Arena is a Communications and Knowledge Management Platform, which serves as a community of practice to share technical skills, publish relevant blog posts, trainings, and promote knowledge learning events.   

International Development Group LLC (IDG), the company behind the Arena brings 36 years of experience in implementing 60+ development programs across 90 low- and middle-income countries. IDG has worked with national and sub-national governments around the world as well as established itself as a trusted advisory partner to the United States Government Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), MCC, World Bank and other multi-lateral international donors. The Arena seeks to bring together IDG’s mission of strategically thinking about how to best implement donor projects, while showcasing our on-the-ground expertise.   

The Arena mainly focuses on strategies to promote inclusive economic growth in developing countries to alleviate world poverty. The Arena’s events will bring together world-renowned economists, strategists, researchers, and practitioners to discuss ways that everyone in international development can contribute to a more prosperous world, whether they are in Washington, D.C. or Jakarta, Indonesia.
